CHURCH
COUNCIL: Coordinates and promotes the entire
program of the church. The Council consists of the
church staff, the elected officers of the church and the
chair, or a representative, of each of the church boards
and committees. Three (3) members at large, representing
the congregation, are elected to the Council for three
year terms.
BOARD
OF TRUSTEES: Manages
the property, financial and personnel business of the
church. Nine (9) members are elected for 3 year
terms.
BOARD
OF DEACONS: In partnership with the pastors, guides and directs the spiritual
life and care of the congregation, i.e., worship, outreach,
membership, and special events. Thirty (30) members
are elected for 3 years terms.
BOARD
OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTRIES: Supervises
the programs involving the spiritual growth of the children
of the church (nursery through 5th grade), Middle School (6, 7 and 8th grades) and High School (9-12th grade). Eighteen
(18) members are elected to 3 year terms.
BOARD
OF MISSION AND SOCIAL CONCERN: Aims
to broaden awareness and involvement of the church in
world-wide and local mission projects through financial
and volunteer support. Twelve (12) members are elected
to 3 year terms.
BOARD
OF USHERS: Has
charge of forming the ushering teams needed for all the
services of the church.
BOARD
OF INVESTMENT: Sets
investment policies and monitors the special and permanent
funds of the church. Three (3) members are elected
to 3 year terms.
ADULT
EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Plans
and implements programs of Christian education for the
adult members of the church. Nine (9) members are
elected to 3 year terms.
STEWARDSHIP
COMMITTEE: Annually
plans and promotes a program to raise funds to meet the
yearly expenses and mission allocations of the church.
Twelve (12) members are elected to 3 year terms.
MUSIC
COMMITTEE: Has
charge of the total musical program of the church, including
the hiring of the director and any other persons needed
to assist in the services. Six (6) members are elected
for two year terms.
FLOWER
COMMITTEE: Delivers
flowers from the altar weekly to friends and members.
They arrange and distribute Christmas and Easter altar
flowers. Twelve (12) members serve a three year
term.
FOOD
SERVICE COMMITTEE: Is
supervised by the Food Service Director. They plan
the menus, help prepare and serve the food for certain
church functions. Twelve (12) members are elected
to a two year term.
NOMINATING
COMMITTEE: Is
responsible for preparing the slate of nominees for election
at the Annual Meeting and for filling any vacancies that
may occur during the year. Eight (8) members are
elected to a two year term.
CHURCH
DELEGATES: Attend
UCC meetings as church representatives to learn and vote
on specific issues. They report back to the Church
Council to disseminate pertinent information about the
meetings, Six (6) members are elected to a one year
term.
