The
Women's Benevolent Society was established 201 years ago
in 1803 to promote the missionary activities and the social
and spiritual life of the women of the First Church of Christ.
One third of all moneys raised by the Women's Benevolent Society
goes to Our Church's Wider Mission.
Meetings
are held on the first Friday of each month, October to May.
A potluck luncheon in Bailey Hall at 11:45 AM, is followed
at 1:00 PM, by a program and a business meeting. Newcomers
and visitors are welcome.
A
sewing group meets each Wednesday in the Benevolent Room,
March to November, at 10:00 AM, to make layettes and articles
for the Christmas Fair.
