Childcare
During worship services, two adults provide childcare in the nursery for children through age 3. Pagers enables staff to communicate messages such as "child fine," meaning that a crying child has settled down, or "nursery," meaning that parents should return to the nursery. Childcare and age-appropriate Christian lessons for children 2.5 years (must be potty-trained) through kindergarten in the pre-K/K room supervised by lead teacher Jen Wright and an assistant. Childcare is also available one evening each month through a program called Second Saturdays @ First Church. In this "co-op" style program, parents provide a shift of childcare from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month, then get free care for their children for the next few months!
