Our Brothers and Sisters in Haiti Need Your Help
From Bishop Francoise Villier, Executive Director of CONASPEH:
"Dear brothers and sisters,
I greet you in the precious name of our Savior Jesus Christ. Words fail us to express our feelings of gratitude, and to tell you how much your support is an essential, precious and essential help for our organization, because your help does not only support St Andre's College, but an association of schools of Conaspeh. We bring our support to certain schools of the churches of the conaspeh. You were always a support for us for years at the nursing school either with materials or through seminars through our brothers and sister Mary [Friedman], [Mark] Pohlmann and the others. We know that things are difficult, but we are counting on you especially by your prayers and what you can do for the people of God. We have just started again with the clinic in order to help people in the community. It is a very important program for churches and schools. We hope as soon as covid 19 stops we will have the possibility of resuming certain projects with you. Reports with photos are available. Once again I thank the whole church for their help. Be blessed. Receive the peace and grace of God."
Despite COVID, political unrest, and gang violence in Haiti, our mission partners, the National Council of Spiritual Churches of Haiti (CONASPEH) continue to support education for children regardless of ability to pay. School continues despite all the challenges they face. Our church has committed to help them do this. For more than twenty years we have faithfully supported CONASPEH with our annual scholarship fund drive. Due to conditions in Haiti we have not had a pilgrimage from First Church in over two years. But we must not forget them and our promise to support them…especially now…with our prayers and our gifts. If you donate every year, thank you. If you have never yet given, please consider a gift of an education for a child who might not otherwise have that chance.
