Rev. Marisa Brown Ludwig

In November, 2013, we called Rev. Marisa Brown Ludwig as our Acting Associate Pastor.  Rev. Marisa brings more than fifteen years as a worship leader, church musician, and alternative worship team collaborator to her position.  While working full time and raising two boys with her husband Peter, she attended seminary at both Hartford Seminary and Andover Newton Theological School, with special emphasis on Women’s Spirituality and Interfaith/Ecumenical Relations and Worship.  Marisa has been active for in the Massachusetts Conference UCC as a member and now the Chair of the Task Force on Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations.  She served as student minister at Edwards Church in Northampton during Fall 2009- Spring 2010, and has been supported and mentored since 1995 at South Congregational Church in Springfield, where she has been a member.  Rev. Marisa brings a progressive and open theological perspective that is inclusive, imaginative, creative and dynamic.  Rev. Marisa has been a church musician throughout her life and enjoys using her musical gifts in worship and educational opportunities.
