About The Event
6-week Lenten study with Rev. Marisa: "Witness at the Cross" - by Amy Jill Levine
Monday nights in Lent (on Zoom): March 7, 14, 21, 28 and April 4, 11 (finishing Holy Week)
6:30 - 8pm
This series will help us explore what we think happened at the cross, as we prepare for Holy Week 2022. Through guided conversation, sharing of book elements, and film clips of teaching by Amy-Jill Levine herself, we'll spend time each week considering the meaning of Jesus' death at the cross from inside the story across the gospels, from the vantage point of different people in it. Amy-Jill Levine is the Rabbi Stanley M Kessler Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Hartford Seminary, formerly at Vanderbilt University. She is also co-editor of the Jewish Annotated New Testament. Join us!
Please RSVP to each day in this event series to receive a reminder email with the zoom link one hour before the event begins each week.
