Honoring Our Past. Opening the Way Forward.
For more than three centuries, First Church of Christ in Longmeadow has stood as a living witness to faith in action. From the ringing of our Paul Revere bell to the rooster watching over the Green, this sacred place carries the prayers, courage, and hope of generations.
The Doors Wide Open Capital Campaign invites us to care for this gift—so it may continue to welcome, challenge, and inspire all who pass through its doors. This is not simply a campaign to restore a building. It is a call to open ourselves more fully to the future God is shaping among us.
The Impact of Your Support
Your contribution will:
• Preserve and restore historic buildings that define Longmeadow’s identity.
• Expand safe, accessible spaces for worship, learning, and community programs.
• Strengthen our ability to respond to hunger, homelessness, and crisis.
• Sustain partnerships with local organizations, schools, and global communities.
• Ensure that First Church remains a welcoming hub for all.
Where Faith Becomes Action
Within these walls, worship lifts our spirits—and sends us back into the world renewed.
Each week, significantly more non-members than members use our campus. First Church hosts support groups, educational programs, community events, and the Longmeadow Montessori School. Our spaces enable recovery groups, public dialogue, youth programs, and service initiatives that touch hundreds of lives every month.
This is what it looks like when faith is lived, not just spoken.
What the Doors Wide Open Campaign Will Achieve
The Doors Wide Open Capital Campaign will strengthen and modernize our campus so it reflects our mission of hospitality, justice, and spiritual vitality—and so it can serve the needs of today and tomorrow.
Campaign priorities include:
