The First Church Social Justice Team will be the recipient of one the Social Justice Awards given! Please join us! RSVP to this event to get the link!
The MLK Jr. Family Services of Springfield has served more than 300 families a year for the past 30 years with educational, cultural, and basic needs support. The Social Justice Team of First Church is the first faith-based organization to receive the award. Members of the team were deeply moved by this award recognizing their efforts to raise awareness of racism through book and film discussions, a six-session course on reparations, participating in weekly anti-racist stand-outs in Longmeadow and many actions with the Pioneer Valley Project of Springfield.
