Scripture Reading: Ruth 3

Returned now to Naomi’s homeland, both women are vulnerable without male protection but Ruth especially as a foreigner and an outsider.  Can Naomi find a righteous way to reward Ruth’s loyalty, her hesed, and protect them both?  Ruth goes out alone at Naomi’s urging to seek the protection of Boaz. Much is at stake, and she takes a great risk . . . both Boaz and Ruth choose how they will act . . . in faithfulness, honor, blessing. Where will their story take them?
